His list of accomplishments is unparalleled, his legacy is an open book. Evanston History Center's Kris Hartzell will host an intriguing perspective of life of Charles Gates Dawes: his achievements, his defeats, his sanctuary. Two recently published books will also be available, his new biography and the annotated reissue of his Journal of the Great War. The event is free with museum admission ($10).
