Evanston Cradle to Career, Bookends and Beginnings, and the Evanston Literary Festival are proud to present a panel discussion on the importance of children seeing diverse characters represented in the books they read. Speakers will include Joy Triche, publisher of Tiger Stripe Publishing; Raquel Monroe, author of How I Became We; and Miguel Ruiz, Evanston Public Library's Latino Engagement Librarian. A reception will follow the panel discussion. Find out more about the EC2C Diverse Books Drive, running from April 10 to June 5, here.
